'Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme' extended
Telangana Government has extended the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme to all BPL (below poverty line) families. The only condition is the families must have white ration card. The news was officially announced by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekar Rao.
This scheme was completely restricted to strengthen the weak SC/ST families. For those families, the Government also provides financial assistance of Rs.51,000. While addressing public at Chelpur village of Ghanpur, K.Chandrasekar Rao confessed this.
He was along with Electricity minister G.Jagadesh Reddy and he inaugurated the 600 Mega watts unit of the Kakatiya Thermal Power Station (KTPS). Apart from these promises, KCR also said he will construct 2000, Two bedroom houses for Poor people in Bhupalapalli assembly constituency in which the thermal power station is located.
He also said a polytechnic and a postgraduate college would also be set up in Bhupalapalli. And with respect to the new power plant, KCR said this will make Telangana a Power surplus state by the year 2018.
