232 swine flu cases recorded
The number of swine flu cases in Chhattisgarh has reached 232, with the State recording 50 deaths due to the H1N1 influenza this year.
According statistics released by the Health department on Wednesday, more than 900 samples of patients suspected with the H1N1 influenza, have been sent to Delhi for confirmation.
Two patients succumbed to swine flu here on Tuesday, taking the toll to 50 this year.
Five swine flu deaths were reported in the first week of this month.
According to the Health department, two patients died in Mahasamund district, one death was reported from Balod district and two deaths were recorded in Raipur in the first week this month.
“Raipur area has reported around 23 cases of swine flu. Present situation in under control and we have sufficient stock of medicines,” the Chief Medical Health Officer of Raipur R.K. Sonwani told reporters here.
