Airlift Joined 100 Crore Club
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's latest thriller Airlift is getting good response from all over the world. The film which revolves around the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraq-Kuwait war is striking gold near box office.
According to latest news this film has became has become the first movie of 2016 to have a collection over Rs 100 crore. The film has achieved this feat in just 10 days since its release. "Airlift" is Akshay's fourth film to enter the century club, after "Rowdy Rathore", "Housefull 2" and "Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty". Last year, four of Akshay's films were released in India, but none of them entered the century club. Akshay's "Baby" was the only film that came close to Rs 100 crore but unfortunately, the box office collection run ended at Rs 95.56 crore.
Film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and confirmed the news. He wrote "#Airlift has a FANTASTIC Sunday. Crosses 100 cr mark. [Week 2] Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 6.50 cr, Sun 8.26 cr. Total: 102.76 cr.
