AP CM to invite KCR today to capital ceremony
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will meet his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekar Rao at the latter's residence on Sunday evening.
Naidu, through his secretary on Saturday, sought an appointment with KCR, who in turn agreed to receive him. Naidu will invite KCR to the foundation stone ceremony of Amaravati on October 22. Naidu, who will attend a family function in Tirumala on Sunday morning, will visit Hyderabad to extend personal invitations to KCR and governor ESL Narasimhan.
Naidu had planned to meet KCR along with his wife Bhuvaneswari. But 'Annaprasana' ceremony of Naidu's grandson Devansh at Tirumala on the same day may come in the way of Bhuvaneswari from accompanying him.
Sources close to Naidu said he would invite KCR and his wife and son KT Rama Rao and daughter Kavitha to the Amaravati function.
Meanwhile, ministers Kamineni Srinivas Rao and Ayyannapatrudu on Saturday unsuccessfully tried to reach YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. "We tried to meet him to extend the invitation for the programme in the last two days, but Jagan did not give us an appointment," said Ayyannapatrudu.
YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy told them that Jagan was recuperating from the impact of the indefinite fast and he could not meet them. Jagan has already made his stand clear on not attending the function in a public letter to Naidu.
