Australian brand cheats Dhoni of 20 Crs
Mahender Singh Dhoni, the Indian limited overs captain, is one of the top earning sports persons in the world. He is also the most sort after name in the endorsements scene in the country. But if recent reports are anything to go by, it seems Dhoni has been duped by one of the many brands he endorses, Spartan Sports, of over Rs 20 crore. Rhiti sports, which manages cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s endorsements, has alleged that an Australian sporting gear company has not honoured its contract for payments with the player.
A top official at Rhiti Sports, has claimed that the Australian company Spartan Sports has defaulted on payments to Dhoni in violation of the provisions of a three-year contract with him for endorsing its products. The Australian company also has other big names apart from Dhoni of the cricketing world as its ambassadors like former Australian captain Michael Clarke, West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, England cricketer Eoin Morgan, former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson and Sir Viv Richards to name a few.
