DGP Ramudu clarifies over TDP MLAs
DGP JV Ramudu ruled out the the party MLAs involvement in the case and further stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had directed the officials not to let the culprit go scot-free irrespective of their prominence.
DGP JV Ramudu said that stern action would be taken against the ones who harassed women in getting back their loan amount in the call money case. He disclosed that the action has been initiated based on a complaint lodged by a woman victim of sexual harassment and that few suspects have been taken into custody.
The DGP said that they have interacted with Vijayawada Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang and other DCPs regarding the involvement of any MLAs in the case. So far there is no specific information about any MLA’s involvement in the case, said DGP Ramudu who added that the investigation has been intensified into the case.
