HC questions about the fate of 8.5k cases

On Tuesday, in reference with the removal of Telangana from the purview of Andhra Pradesh’s administrative tribunal by the state of Telangana and the central government, Hyderabad High Court’s division bench questioned the fate of 8500 cases related to the employees of the Telangana state that are pending before the court. The petitions filed by the advocates B Kiran Kumar and P V Krishnaiah, and a few others who challenged the sudden termination of jurisdiction were being dealt by the bench comprising Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganatha and Justice U Durga Prasad. The question was posed by the bench to the counsel that was representing the Centre and Telangana while hearing to the pleas of the petitioners.
