HC stays cases against Raj Thackeray
Remarking that none of the complainants seemed serious about pursuing the matter, the Delhi High Court on Thursday stayed all the cases in the lower courts against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray for allegedly making statements against people from Bihar in 2008.
Justice Sunil Gaur said the complainants, whose statements made the trial courts summon Mr. Thackeray, did not seem to be interested.
The MNS chief had moved the High Court seeking a stay on the proceedings as well as quashing the whole proceedings against him. The court issued notice to eight complainants to respond to his plea.
