Jagan's No-confidence motion

The opposition YSR Congress Party has moved a no-confidence motion against the TDP government this morning. YSRCP Mla’s delivered the notice to the Assembly secretary. Now, the speaker has to take a decision on the notice and fix the date for putting the motion for the consideration of the House.

This is a ploy to corner YSR Congress MLAs who recently joined TDP. If they vote to TDP against the whip of the party, YSR Congress can push for the disqualification. The YSRCP party MLAs said instead of fulfilling the promises made to the farmers, weavers, youth and women, the government had made corruption as governance.

YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy yesterday tried to corner the government on the alleged land deals in the new capital region Amaravati but faced a verbal onslaught from ruling Telugu Desam and BJP members. The Leader of Opposition was also repeatedly admonished by Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao over his behavior in the House.
