Jayalalitha thanks the people of TN for her victory
The AIADMK general secretary and chief minister J Jayalalitha on Thursday has extended her heartfelt thanks to the people of Tamil Nadu for giving a resounding victory to her party for the second consecutive term, after her mentor and guide M G Ramachandran has won two terms in 1984.
Jayalalitha has told that this victory belongs to the people of Tamilnadu and she has said that she did not have words in the dictionary to express her overwhelming feelings and gratitude to the people.
She has also added that it has put an end to family rule permanently and it has trounced those who sought votes in family. It is an election which routed a party that believed in opinion polls and not people of Tamil Nadu.
She has thanked cadres, functionaries and alliance partners for the victory and earlier the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley, Governor K Rosaiah, and Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has telephoned her and greeted her.
