Jolly LLB 2 Movie Review !!
An ambitious lawyer (Akshay Kumar) finds himself in a battle with a ruthless advocate after making an innocent mistake. The movie has many issues, terrorism, corruption, government officials’ apathy and does a fair job of it. So like most Hindi films, it runs on two parallels and an important murder case and a bunch of jokes that have little or no relevance in the film.
Subhash Kapoor has directed the movie and features Akshay Kumar, Annu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla in predominant roles. Akshay Kumar as the underdog, hapless lawyer, Saurabh Shukhla as judge Tripathi and Kapoor as the flamboyant legal mind help each other along nicely and have done justice to their roles. Huma Qureshi, portrays as Akshay Kumar’s wife, isn’t in a well defined role either and is reduced to a loving mother who has a penchant for Gucci creations.
Techinical Team :
Kamal Jeet Negi had looked after the cinematography work neatly, but the editing part done by Chandrasekhar Prajapathi was not apt and few court scenes are bit lengthy and will definitely bore the audience. Fox Star Studios had bankrolled for the movie and the music was composed by Manj Musik, Meet Bros and Chirantan Bhatt which was average and not outstanding. But Vishal Kurana's background scoring is terrific.
Akshay Kumar’s courtroom drama, Jolly LLB2, has its heart in the right place but it is as long winded as the trials in Indian courts. It is the pacing that lets down and there are moments when the thrilling bits of the case feels overly stretched. Perhaps, shaving off those bits would have helped.Watch the movie this weekend if you are in the mood for a legal drama, which will be bit long.
Bottom Line: A Near-Perfect Court Drama which takes a Brave hit on Indian Judicial System.
