Monsoon session of Parliament from July 18

The monsoon session of the parliament will start from the 18th of July and will go on till 12th of August. Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu announced this on Wednesday and said, "The session will begin from July 18. There will be 20 working days". The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
 
The GST bill which has been hanging in the balance for long might be passed in this session. Expressing his confidence making the bill pass, he said, "Government is confident of GST bill's passage in this session. We have enough numbers but voting will be last option. If GST is passed, Indian economy will grow further. We have wide support, but we will like every party to be part of consensus". Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had recently stated that 22 states, except Tamil Nadu were in support of the Goods and Services Tax Bill.
