Shots fired at Modi's residence
People of Delhi got shock of their lives when shots were fired at Prime Minister Modi's residence at 7, Race Course Road. Tension gripped as the incident happened in the aftermath of ISIS strike on Paris in France and also after Indian Government issued warning to all state governments to be careful in the wake of ISIS threat.
Security officials acted quickly on Wednesday night and later it was found that the shots were fired accidentally by a Delhi police constable. The rifle which went off due to mechanical glitch was sent for forensic examination.
Senior police official said around three to four rounds were fired from the rifle but added there was no casualty. The incident occurred at about 8.30 pm during change of duty in the media parking lot opposite the Prime Minister’s residence in the posh Lutyens’ bungalow area. Top intelligence agencies will be investigating into the incident.
People of the country expect security officials will be on high alert and nothing of such incidents happen even accidentally as India suffered a lot at the hands of terrorists.
