Venue changed for Ind- Pak match

High-profile India versus Pakistan T20 World Cup match is going to be held at Kolkata. Earlier International Cricket Council has planned to conduct this match in Dharamsala but due to a request from Pakistan Cricket Board the match has been switched to Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

The news came after the Pakistan cricket team “delayed their travel plans to India” and raised concerns over the original venue Dharamsala. ICC CEO Dave Richardson told reporters in Delhi on Wednesday: "We have taken the decision after consulting with our security officers. We are responsible for the security of teams. Their safety is of prime concern."

PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan welcomed the decision, but was still non-committal on the teams’ travel schedule. The Pakistan Cricket Board sent a delegation of officials to check security at the venues in India earlier this week, with the Dharamsala venue of particular concern. The delegation felt that security in Dharamsala was "unsatisfactory".
