YSRCP Boycotts Assembly
Firebrand politician Roja’s suspension has become a hot topic in recent time. YSRCP leaders decided to stall Andhra Pradesh Assembly from Saturday for not allowing Ms Roja to enter the House even after the High Court order.
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Friday completed the House’s agenda in the absence of Opposition party members. YSRC members staged a dharna in front of the main entrance of the Assembly in protest against Speaker not allowing Ms Roja. The Opposition boycotted the proceedings for the entire day.
In the assembly, Speaker K Sivaprasad Rao announced that the house will debate the court order in Roja's case. He said the copies of the court order will be circulated to all members and suggested that they go through it. He said the discussion on the issue will be taken up on Monday.
However, the TDP government decided not to implement the order and challenge it before the division bench. It filed a petition on Friday before the division bench, headed by the chief justice. The appeal will come up for hearing on Monday.
